I have always loved plants and nature and spent most of my childhood playing in and with the flora and fauna of the British countryside. During my childhood I suffered very badly with eczema and in those days it was impossible in my small town to find a natural cream to soothe my condition (those available at conventional pharmacies I found highly irritating to my sensitive skin). So at the age of thirteen I took myself off to the local library to try and make my own healing balm. It was in the libraries books that I started to read about herbal medicine. With the help of the local herbalist I “cured” my eczema and made some lovely creams and lotions to boot! At the age of fourteen I turned up at the door of the same local herbalist practice asking to be his apprentice. He politely turned me away, pointing me in the direction of the excellent courses teaching herbal medicine that existed in the UK. From there on, I had my goal!
I went on to graduate from the College of Phytotherapy (accredited by the University of Wales) with a BSc. degree in Herbal Medicine. I have been practicing herbal medicine, ever since – for fifteen years now. I also have a great interest in academia and was a senior lecturer in Herbal Medicine at the College of Naturopathic medicine for many years. I am on the academic board of The American School of Natural Health, a member of The American Herbalists Guild, and The College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy.
I would like to describe myself as a trusted colleage and have been widely featured in the European press. In 2011, I moved to the United States with my family where I now practice in Manhattan (please call 212 388 0800 for appointment details), I maintain a client base in London which I visit every three months. firstname.lastname@example.org
